Alwehda Dam Lake and Battle site of Yarmouk

 

 

One day tour on Fridays. Transportation is provided

 

We will start our day at 9:00 in the morning (pick up from Amman) and drive to Irbid then we will start our tour from Alwehda Dam that is built on Yarmouk River with magnificent overviews of lake and valleys. We will go for a short refreshing walk down there and have our breakfast, snacks and refreshments.

 

- At 12 we will start heading to the battle site of Yarmouk that ended Byzantine existence in Levant. We will do a brief description about the history of this area and enjoy sometime of the surrounding views and mountains.

 

- We will have an optional hike in Deciduous oak trail for around one and half hour after that we will have time to eat lunch.

 

- Event is going to finish at 4:30 p.m. and we will be heading back to Irbid then to Amman.
- Transport is provided from/ to Amman

 

Pickup points and times:

  • Amman in front of main gate of University of Jordan (9:00a.m sharp) and drop off (7:00 p.m.)
  • Irbid at Mujamma Amman in front of Khan Zaid Shawrama (10:00 a.m.) and drop off (6:00 p.m.)

Things to bring:

  • Hiking shoes
  • Cap
  • Backpack,
  • Water and juice refreshments
  • Your packed lunch box
  • Camera
  • ID

  • Hiking sticks
  • Water bottles
  • First aid
Cost: 22 JOD per Person

 

Cost includes:

  • Transportation from/to Amman
  • Guiding fees
  • Entry fees to Um Qais city
  • Breakfast (3 pastries, apple, and juice bottle)
